Dr. Panta Rouhani Schaffer is a board certified dermatologist specializing in skin cancer prevention and treatment, cosmetic dermatology, dermatologic and laser surgery. Dr. Schaffer brings three impressive graduate degrees to GPD.
After graduating with honors from Emory University, she obtained a Master of Public Health before entering the MD/PhD program at the University of Miami. Her research interests have focused on diet and acne, ethnic disparities in skin cancer, and clinical effectiveness.
After completing her internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach, Dr. Schaffer trained at the highest-ranking dermatology residency program in the country: New York University. Dr. Schaffer has presented at national and international dermatology meetings. She has nearly 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for numerous medical journals.
