Dr Hyams is the medical director of the Pain and Fatigue Clinic in West Vancouver. He also practices Family Medicine, apart from his specialty in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and other Central Sensitization Disorders. He is currently appointed Interim Lead of the Complex Chronic Diseases Program at Woman's Hospital in British Columbia. He frequently teaches residents and students and holds a position with the University of British Columbia as Clinical Instructor. Dr Hyams also is currently involved in a Clinical Research Fellowship position with Simmaron Research in Nevada, USA. Dr Hyams is frequently called as a medical expert in his field and is involved in medical legal work pertaining to CFS, Fibromyalgia and related disorders.
