Born in Beijing and grew up in Vancouver, Dr. Elisa Xiao completed her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. She went on to pursue a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honours. She was also part of the Tomb & Key Honours and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honours Societies, and was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
