Barbara C. Andree, O.D. specializes in expert contact lens fitting and low vision correction. She has been certified in therapeutics and glaucoma treatment, and has been serving Main Line patients for over 27 years. Dr. Andree started her optometric practice in Pennsylvania associated with Francis Ely, optician.
Dr Andree earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston, where she served on the college admissions committee. She also did several years of post-graduate work at the University of Minnesota as a NIH Fellow in Behavioral Pharmacology. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology is from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Andree has trained residents at the University of Chicago Eye Clinic in the fitting of both soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses for astigmatism, presbyopia, amblyopia, dry eyes and keratoconus.
