Dr. Hiten Negandhi graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Then he began a Masters in Neuroscience. He further went on to pursue a career in optometry and graduated on the Dean’s Honour List from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry, in April 2000.
Dr. Negandhi has many areas of interest in optometry including paediatric optometry, laser vision consultation and co-management, orthokeratology, contact lenses, and computer related vision syndromes.
Dr. Negandhi has visited many primary schools and high schools to educate students on the profession of optometry and the importance of routine ocular examinations, and volunteers his time to the Giving the Gift of Sight Program where he visits schools in different areas to perform eye exams, and provide glasses, to underprivileged children.
